‘The Voice’ Recap: Top 8 Rock 2 Performances Each In Hopes Of Making The Finals

The first artist to take the stage is Adam Cunninghamfrom Adam Levine’s team. Adam was in the bottom two two weeks in a row, but made it through without having to sing for the Instant Save last week. This time, he’s singing Lonestar’s“I’m Already There,” which is a powerful and emotional ballad. The performance isnot only sung well, but alsobrings all the feelsas Adam pours his emotions into every lyric. Nextup, is an awesome duet from Chloe Kohanski(team Blake Shelton) and Noah Mac (team Jennifer Hudson). The young stars perform “Wicked Game” and earn rave reviews from the coaches.Davon Fleming, from Jennifer’s team, is up next. This week he’s singing “Gravity,” which is a bit more subtle than the last few songs he’s chosen, but of course, Davon adds a powerful twist. Last week, Davon was Instantly Saved afterlanding in the bottom three, so he has a lot to prove with this performance, and he totally wows the crowd with this insane voice. Next, Blake’s classic country artist, Red Marlow, sings “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by the one and only, Vince Gill. Red delivers just what his fans want week after week, and this performance is no different. This week, though, Red shows a new side of himself by getting vulnerable onstage, and it’s touching tosee.Next up is a duet with Davon and Brooke Simpson(Team Miley Cyrus). They perform “Earned It,” and put their own, powerful spin on The Weeknd’sclassic. Keisha Renee, from Blake’s team, is the next solo performer, this time, singing a Rascal Flatt’sclassic “What Hurts The Most.” The song is right in Keisha’s country wheelhouse, and she manages to portray her flawless vocals while also conveying emotion throughout her performance. The next duet is between the two male country stars left in the competition, Adam and Red. They sing “Can’t You See,” and it’s exactly what you would expect from the pairing. SO good! Chloe returns to the stage next with another classic rock performance — this time, she sings “I Want To Know What Love Is.” It’s a bit of a more stripped down and vulnerable song compared to what she’s done in recent weeks, and she brings the best of all different sides of her voice to the stage.Addison Agen(Team Adam) and Keisha are the next duet, with a rendition of “Strong Enough” thatshows off both of their incredible vocals to perfection. Noah is back next, and for his solo performance, he sings “River.” Noah has a vision for every song and puts his creative direction on each performance, and he delivers yet again with this one.Returning to the stage next is Addison, who givesan incredible performance of “Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell. Once again, Addison proves she is well beyond her years, and shows that she can dojust about anything. How is she only 16!? To close out the night, Brooke returns with a rendition of “Faithfully,” the shows off her powerhouse voice to perfection. What a way to end the show!Unfortunately, the amount of artists remaining will be cut in half during the Dec. 12 episode, as only four can make the Finals. Get your votes in!
