The night is here — we finally know the winner of Season 11 of ‘The Voice’! But first, there was a night jam-packed full of performances, with A-listers AND fan favorite contestants from the show taking the stage. Keep up with everything that went down and find out the winner in our recap right here!
The Voice finale kicks off with a performance from Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande, who are joined by Season 11’s Top 12 for a fun rendition of “Faith” from the upcoming movie Sing. The four finalists, Josh Gallagher, We McDonald, Sundance Head and Billy Gilman, are the first of the group to hit the stage as Stevie rocks out on piano, and obviously, Ari totally brings the house down!
Next, Josh is back onstage to sing with his friends and previously-eliminated contestants, Austin Allsupand Brendan Fletcher. The guys team up for a manly rendition of “My Kinda Party,” and it’s totally epic! During this episode, each finalist will also get to sing with one of their idols, and for We, it’s John Legend. The pair give a powerful performance of his latest hit “Love Me Now,” and it’s so amazing to see the 17-year-old singer get this incredible opportunity.
It’s time for another musical icon to take the stage next, with Sting coming front and center to sing his new song “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You.” After all these years, he’s definitely still got it! For his bring back performance, Billy invites Christian Cuevas, Ali Caldwell, Sa’Rayah and Courtney Harrell up to sing “Proud Mary,” and with their combination of powerful voices, it’s the ultimate song choice. Unreal!
Country singer Cam joins Josh for a rendition of her hit “Burning House” next, and we love seeing this softer side of him. Plus, how cool that he gets to sing with one of 2016’s biggest country stars?! The next performance is from The Weeknd, who takes the stage to sing his latest hit, “Starboy,” and as always, it totally gets the crowd going.
Sundance returns next, and he’s accompanied by legendary rock group, KISS. The guys duet on “Detroit Rock City” and “I Wanna Rock & Roll All Night” in a majorly high-energy performance. And Sundance looks like he’s having SO much fun! We brings back Aaron Gibson, Darby Walker and Brendan Fletcher for her reunion performance next, and the foursome give a great rendition of “Love Lockdown.” We miss those guys! Oh, and then the Final Four get their own home recording studios — no big deal. Hey, they totally deserve it after all the work they’ve put in!
Billy is back next, and he’s joined by Kelly Clarkson. Together, they perform a duet of “It’s Quiet Uptown” from the Hamilton mixtape. Kelly obviously knows better than anyone what it’s like to be on a reality singing show, so she’s the absolute perfect person to sing with one of this season’s frontrunner. Next is Sundance’s bring back performance, and he chooses fellow Team Blake Top 12 singers Courtney and Austin to join him and belt out “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey.” Blake sure knows how to pick ’em! And before it’s time to finally get to business and announce the winner, Bruno Mars is there to perform “24k Magic,” and, obviously bust out his awesome dance moves.
Finally, Carson reveals the artist in fourth place: Josh Gallagher from Adam’s team. Next, he announces that We McDonald from Team Alicia finishes in third place. So it comes down to Sundance and Billy, and the WINNER of Season 11 of The Voiceis….SUNDANCE HEAD! That means this is Blake Shelton’s fifth time winning the show. Congrats to both of them!
